Sino-Finnish-Japanese Architectural Workshop to be held in China

The Finnish and East Asian architectural school’s networks annual workshop will be organized in Shenyang, China from June 25 to July 3. In the week long workshop participants from Finnish, Chinese and Japanese architectural schools come together to work on a new building design concept.

This year’s themes include ecological landscape planning, energy-efficient prefabricated building design and the use of green energy.

The aim of the workshop is to design a new kind of energy and cost effective prefabricated building design that is movable and quick to assemble.

The workshop will be held at Shenyang Jianzhu University in Shenyang, China.

Members of the Sino-Finnish-Japanese University Centre Shenyang architectural network are Shenyang Jianzhu University, Northeastern University, Shenyang University, Kyoto Seika University, Hokkaido University, Tokyo University of Science, Tampere University of Technology, University of Oulu, Islamic Azad University and the Finnish Institute in Japan.

The network was initiated in 2012 by the Finnish Institute in Japan. The network organizes annual architectural seminars and workshops that circulate from one participating country to another.
